C Class Coupe Fromt Seats

Hi,
I have just purchased a new c200 amg coupe and am finding it difficult to return the front seats to there normal upright position after they have been folded and slid forward to let in a rear passenger. I don’t have the comfort pack so I have to manually lift the handle and slide forward. However when I then try to slide back they want to go all the back before they go upright. Obviously this is an issue when someone is sat in the rear. Is there something I am doing wrong or a technique that I’m missing?

Don't know if it's the same system , but on the E coupe I had , you fold the backrest forward with the handle at the top of the backrest and slide it forward and then just push the backrest back until it engages on the backslide and stops where it was originally. Have both seats got the same problem ?.

They will always return to the position they were previously in. If you need the seat further forward you’ll need to slide them with the lever under the seat first to set where you want them to return to

It’s both seats. It may just be my lack of technique. I’ve only had the car for a couple of days.
