C class diesel proplems - orders delayed?

Is there any truth in the rumour that C class diesels have injector problems leading to delayed repairs and no deliveries of new cars for 6 months.

Or have I misunderstood the bloke at work who had his C220 order replaced either a long wait or a C200?

No idea but my 8 month old 320CDI works as perfectly as my last two Murky B's. The only problem that I have with the C Class is that the ride is not as good as the E Class but I knew that anyway.

Yes there is some truth in this. Apparantly on the 4cyl Blue efficiency models they are having problems with the Delphi injectors failing. There have been stock problems due to fulfilling warranty claims on these so they have had to scale back production until there is free supply of the reworked injector. I'm glad I decided to go for a MY09 ex demo non BE model now.
