As I'm probably now going to keep my 300CE I'm considering changing the suspension set-up.
It's currently on (new) standard springs and shocks. I've only driven it twice since completing the restoration. However, after a bit of a drive yesterday on winding country roads, I'm not sure I like this set-up. Whilst it's very comfortable in terms of soaking up bumps etc, there's a lack of control and too much wallowing for my taste. This conspires to nullify the extra engine performance this car has over my previous 230CE.
On the 230CE the previous Indie that used fitted sportline springs and Monroe Reflex shocks (which were apparently a Sportline equivalent). I really loved that set-up as it didn't seem the car was visually drastically low; nor did the ride seem in anyway harsh.
Does anyone know a good place to source these parts? Or does anyone have other similar suggestions?
I don't want a really 'lowered' look...just better handling.
Many thanks in advance.
