C124 Aircon Issue

I have a '95 C124 with aircon and it seems to have a mind of it's own !!! I follow the handbook basic setup instructions to use the Fast Demist (top button of 3) and sometimes it comes on, sometimes it flashes and then comes on or sometimes it goes off but most times it doesn't do anything and same problem with the EC off and the Air Circ switch which seem to work in the same eratic manner !!!!

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or I Have a fault ???

first of all, EC light on - A/C is off, EC light off - A/C is on in eco mode. Fast demist on - A/C is on. if you get them flashing it might need regasing. simply when it's to low presure in the A/C system it will not work properly!!

I've never seen a/c lights flash on a W124. I suspect there's a fault
