C124 E220 misfire running out of ideas

If you haven't replaced the coils and HT leads yet that will be your issue. The normal thing is for the end of the HT lead to burn up due to moisture sitting in the coil port.

Oil leaks from the valve cover into the spark plug well are quite common, unless it's gushing out just clean it up and worry about that another time.

So replaced the gaskets in the rocker cover, the originals were very hard and misshaped. Replaced the sparks but not leads Running much better, still a wavering idle very small movement and way better than before

They will short out mate ,,,ask me why .you have possitive on the top of the plug and earth on the plug base =negative ,,oil will allow the spark to short out
Maybe...but oil is generally considered a poor conductor of electricity and is used as an insulator, especially in applications like transformers and high-voltage equipment.
