A while back I asked this forum for some help about 3 years ago before lockdown. Brought a car on surface looked good but the engine had head gasket issues ecu problems bad wiring basically everything that's wrong with these cars I suffered from. Ideallyi should of scrapped the car but I thought sod it the actual main foundation was soild I have completely restored the car with original old stock new parts and chassis , all mechanical, new suspension everything all done with new wiring looms. Here's some pictures of her from spray booth in the final steps of reassemble. Enjoy.

Looks amazing, do you fancy doing mine? 🤔

Thanks for replies, I thought I let the forum know its possible to rebuild these cars back but it's pain to get the parts etc as mercedes stop doing them plus they ridiculous expensive so I did this on budget of no more than £7k that's including purchase price of car at the time was £3.5k the bodywork was done by the bodyshop that's the most expensive ;so far I am £400 pounds over budget but the car is basically new and last me until I kick the bucket. Thanks for the replies.

Excellent, post some pics of the complete car once done.

Wow. I thought the body was done by you. What sort of price for doing all that? I could do with similar. Who are they?

Def need more pics! It is always possible to rebuild cars of this era, just depends how deep your pockets are inmost cases for things you cannot see or account for. Ask me how I know

Looks great. My winter project is to drop the rear subframe from my 1994 A124 E320, remove all original rubber underseal. Cut out/treat any rust recover with Bilt Hamber products. Refurbish, rebuild rear and re-assemble. It started with the usual little rubber balloon that revealed the dreaded rust underneath 😕
