Recently bought another coupe for bits and spares, And one of the smallest of upgrades I want from it is the illuminated vanity mirrors, r/h and l/h.

My car has the std plain ones, and was wondering if anybody could give me a brief but concise method of installing them please:)
.....
a friend said they're best wired to the cigarette-lighter in the console, running them down through the front pillars and behind the dash/console to it ? ? ?

All replies very much appreciated.

I would have thought the connection is already there waiting to be plugged in

Just use the loom from the spare car.

I think you are right. Remove the dome light to check if the loom is there

Hi,
If there anything like the the W202, just remove the existing loom in your doner car as with the W202 I would think the loom will just plug into the Overhead light cluster, just utilise the loom and the visor clips from your Doner vehicle.

Many Many thanks guys, will check that out when I visit the donor next.

@DMDM, did the install go o.k?

I have a set of the illuminated vanity mirrors and the clips with the electrical connectors, but no loom. I'm wondering whether the install was straight forward with the donor loom, i.e., was it plug and play? I can't see any spare connectors on the back on my dome light, so I can't see where the loom would connect even if I bought one.

Hence I'm not sure whether to buy the loom form the dealers, or simply plice into the power for the interior light for power.

I'd be interested to know how you got on.
