C180 K - Power Steering Level

Hi everyone - I am a new boy here, having just purchased an '07 C180. Have been doing usual checks when acquiring a new vehicle and the only concern at present is the power steering fluid level. When I remove the dipstick fluid is only just visible at the bottom. There are a series of marks on the stick from the bottom and extending upwards for approximately 1 cm. Am I correct in assuming the level should be to the uppermost mark? Also can someone advise the correct fluid to use - I do have some Dexron 3 but unsure if that would be suitable.

It should be green CHF11S .

Thanks for that advice will look at Halfords. Do you know if the upper mark is the one to use?

There's hot and cold marks , measure on level ground appropriately .

Thanks for the help - I am off to Halfords this afternoon and will top up to the higher mark when I get home with engine hot.
