I have a 54 plate C180 Compressor which some times has a slight missfire on start up, maybe not even a missfire more of a slight blip in the revs the moment after start up.
I've heard some horror stories on this engine, it has only done 65k but obviously fairly short journeys.

I'm worried it could be the start of something serious rather than a minor problem?

It could be worthwhile getting the timing chain checked as it could be the slack causing the timing to deviate slightly from the norm.
Easy enough job to check, just a bit more involved in replacing it.

If it is a misfire it could be sticking valves. Does it bring the mil light on and log misfire codes???
