Mercedes C180 W203 Facelift (2006)
I have recently purchased a 1998 facelift C180 Classic W202. I have looked everywhere and there seems to be no way to adjust the steering wheel, i.e. No up and down or in and out movement. Is it fixed on this model? Looking in the manual it says there should be an adjustment lever next to the handbrake release, but there isnt. Any suggestions or any ways of altering the height of the wheel if it is fixed, would be appreciated as I have long legs !!Thanks.

There is only reach control on mine -, as you say, to the left of the Parking brake release lever. No rake control on any that I have ever seen - but could be wrong here.

I believe that even the reach control was an option - so this may explain why its missing.

I get around the long legs problem by using the height adjustable seat to increase the distance between my legs and the wheel !

It was an option, and on a C180 Classic, one that was probably not opted for.

My C200 Sport was the same.

Just so you know: I've no adjustment on mine.

£105 option actually.

I found that when they made the steering wheekl sdjust standard , they made the seat less adjustable. Just an observation.

I don't think it became a standard fit item till at least '99
