Hi I have seen a W202 (V Plate) C200 Elegance Auto.
83K All the standard stuff plus Cruise control and Leather. Wants £2.5K and looks very clean, light blue colour. Anything I should check in particular.

Thanks

Try to knock the price.I think it`s a little high for the year

I recently bought a 2000 w-reg c200 elegance in black with the same spec with 115000 on the clock and 6 months mot and tax for £1500.
Id certainly try and get him down more.

Rust, (around the wheels arches in particular). MAF? Cat converter? Throttle response? - (through driving it obviously!) Those are all the things that ive had wrong with my w202 c230k since i got it.

As sgtbob above and check to see if there is timing chain rattle when start from cold. . . . and two sets of keys.

Is it possible for anybody to send me the parkers car check. I tried to PM HighLo (I think that was his username) but I could not see where to do it.

Thanks

Ditto - £150+ a for a replacement (a potential bargaining point).

Check the air-con - the condensor (in front of the radiator) is prone to rot/leak, although probably less so an cars without fans in front the rad (which a V plate shouldn't have - subject of a recent discussion).

As mentioned front arch rust - starts on the inner lip, so get down by the wheel and look up. Also check around boot lock.

Worth asking when the ATF was changed, supposedly "sealed for life" but well worth changing at that mileage (again a £100-£200 quid bargaining point)
