Hi! Thinking ahead a few months, has anyone tried/bought the new C200 EQ mild hybrid? I'm looking at a possible C Convertible with the 200 EQ engine but none of the reviews have really described how it feels to drive in different circumstances, especially when coming from a 250d power plant.

I'm used to hybrids, albeit a Lexus 300h which is quite different to the 200EQ.

Not ready to take a test drive at a dealer yet as it will be a while before I purchase/lease the next car, but I'd like to have an idea if it should stay on the shortlist :)

Thanks Graeme, I'd not seen that one!

I had a C200 saloon as a loan car. Couldn’t wait to return it as it felt very underpowered and was really noisy under acceleration - I would urge you to have a decent test drive in one before committing.

Thanks for that! It's what I feared. I think the search continues for the SLC250d replacement...

Very happy with my C200 saloon 18 plate. 1.5 4 cylinder. It is noisy if you put your foot down hard, but so what? However, my old car was 10 plate 1.8 C class, neither are what you'd call performance cars :) Pretty sure a decent dealer will get you a 24 / 48 hour test drive. Definitely get a decent test in it though, even better if you can do it on roads you know.
