Hi all, I'm new to the forum having just purchased a 1994 Mercedes C200 over the weekend as a runaround. The car is very clean having had only one owner and has FSH with 117,000 miles on the clock. You certainly get a lot of car for the money. I am a DIY mechanic and service all my cars myself, saving money on labour but using the best branded parts possible.
Although the car is clean there are a few niggly bits I would like to sort and freshen the car up a bit, such as - gear knob and gator and the wooden surround around the Gear lever, where to buy these parts ?
What is the best workshop manual to buy and where to buy it.
Best engine oil to use - there is a discount locally on 10w 40 Mobil part synthetic, ideal oil ?
Plus there is an annoying intermittant noise coming from the dash that sounds like a kids trumpet ?
I have had the car in the air and given it a thorough check over and am impressed how clean the car is, however are there any other things to check or watch out for on this model.
Thanks in Advance.
