C200K 'B' Service.......

Hi all,

this is my first ever 'B' service on a MB and need to know what needs to be done and what i need to buy for the service???

can anyone kindly list the parts i need/ repalced

A service is essentially an oil and filter change plus some more checks (fluid levels, tyre pressures, etc).

B service has more checks (e.g. wheels come off to inspect pads), but in term of service items the only difference is that the cabin filter (pollen filter) also get replaced.

But do remember all those additional items, that should be carried at the same time of the service, is they are due:

ATF change on auto-box - 40k-50k

Brake fluid change - 2 years

Air filter change - 4 years

Fuel filter change - 4 years

Spark plugs change - 4 years

Coolant change - 3 years or 15 years on later models

There is an MB website where you can type-in your car details and it will give you a full report of what needs to be done as per age/mileage.

It is all listed in the service book. Many bits are age / mileage dependant so it depends on what has been done previously and when.

Just had my 4 year B Service on my C230, they did some stuff to the Pano roof too.
