can anyone tell me if 20/25 mpg is o.k. ? Is there a sport and eco mode somewhere in the menu that I don't know about? not complaining too much though, this is my first MB after years driving escorts and corsas and other xxxx, its awesome

Yup that sounds typical around town and when stop starting and on cold mornings.

What year is the car,depends on driving ie mainly stop start traffic(that sort of mpg would be about right)or mixed town/motorway(expect more like 30+mpg),has the car been serviced regularly/on time?

That seams about right for town driving . Our E200k only manages to average 27 , with mixed driving , 30% town and 60% country and 10% motor way . The best I ever saw was 32 , that was on a long motor way drive with cc on
