c203 wheels question

hi all would like some help please

i have a couple of questions regarding wheels for my 2.2d coupe (facelift)

it currently has 16" wheels which i am going to get winter tyres for (as it's useless in the snow were i live)

my plan is to keep the wheels then till next year and use them again in the winter

i think the 16" wheels look too small for the arches so was thinink of getting bigger ones

questions are as follows please

what are the best size for the car ?? was thinking of going for 17"

what size tyres ??

do the front and rear wheels have a different of-set ??

This is going to sound a bit wierd, but IMO 17'2 will actually make the wheel gap look bigger...Not sure why

My w203 came with a staggered 16" setup and very happy when I upgraded to 17's
If you a staggered setup the wheels will have different widths and offsets (can't remember what they are off hand). Running 225/45 front and 245/40 rear.
