Hi all,

I own a e350 C207 and I'm curious how far forward the backrest is suppoesd to go? My passengers have always said they feel so far back it's like they're laying down.

I have the memory seat option and all my controls for the seats are on the doors.

My passenger seat only seems to go to a 60-70 degree angle. Can't go any further forward than this. My drivers seat goes to about 80 degrees.

I've tried the seats on my old man's E220 c207 (but his controls are on the seat) and they go all the way forward to like 140 degree angle (not that you'd sit like that!)

Is this just how it is with my car or is this a fault? if it's a fault, any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Mine has the multi-contour memory-seats with controls on the door (so same as yours?) and both front seat backrests will go 'forward' such that the very top of the backrest, ie the rear of the outer panel behind the headrest, is forward of the 'vertical', ie the headrest is facing slightly down into the seat base. The main part of the backrest is not vertical although I haven't measured the actual angle.

It sounds as if you have a fault or something is stopping it moving through its full range.

Eta, just a thought, presumably you're using the main control to move it and not the memory positions, ie has somebody programmed it such that all three memory positions have a reclined backrest?

Thanks @tonysmb - using the main control to move the seats rather than the actual memory positions that have already been set. Sounds like there is definitely a problem with mine after looking at @OneForTheRoad photo. My passenger definitely doesn't go that far!

I'll grab a photo and show mine shortly.

I had this. I had it reset by a Mercedes specialist. The local garage were unable to help and said I needed a new module. The specialist did it for free when I had it serviced. I had it done at Hampshire Service Centre near Hook and Hartley Wintney.
