C207 steering felt in footwell

Hi,

i have a 2012 e class coupe and its developed a weird problem where at low speeds like parking when i turn the wheel at exactly the same point i can feel feedback like a vibration in the footwell and steering wheel which dissapears once you steer past that point. any ideas what i could be? the car drives fine otherwise.

just to update, i have fixed the problem... the plastic cover which is just below my knees was rubbing on the steering column, a simple tug on it to pull it away solved it. worth knowing before thinking the rack is at fault etc
