My number plate lamps have rotted from a leaky 3rd brake light and need replacing. Has anyone any pointers ? Thanks in advance

How have they rotted? The units themselves, or where they fit?
 
Cracked lens in the 3rd brake light, water runs in and has rotted the lamp holders
