C216 front strut question

Recent health check by MB showed that both gaiters on the front suspension struts are split as shown on the video you get. I've got the replacement kits but wonder if it's just a question of undoing the lower strut mounting nut and sliding the old gaiter off and the new one on, or will the airmatic strut be under pressure and be a nightmare to refit? (I'll be sending youngest offspring under so need to warn him) Anybody done this?

The workshop we go to did it on the GLE500e, not sure if the struts on the C216 can be disassmebled the same way.
