C220 cdi ESP problem

The ESP warning light on my C220cdi ( April 2008) frequently stays on when I have started up. To get it off, I generally have to turn off the ignition and start up again. Sometimes it goes off by itself. Problem may have been made worse by the recent cold weather and by fact that for first couple of hundred yards I am moving very slowly getting out of an underground garage.

Any suggestions. MB main dealers twice have not solved it.

Hi. Don't know about the diesels but certainly on the petrol models the brake switch can cause this. Others will be along to give their opinions.
