c220 cdi
Hi can anyone help, I have a w203 c220 cdi auto and it keeps losing power for a few seconds and then picks up again, I don't think its going in and out of limp mode as it won't rev at all when it loses the power. This happens at all speeds and at no specfic time or event whilst driving and i have no fault messages showing when it happens......Help please :dk:

Hi
You should get your car checked, cause recently I had a problem but my engine management light came on, which was due to the wires in my engine wiring harness being damaged. I lost the power in my car and I had a lot of juddering.
I have a W204 but I have a C220 CDI, I am not sure what could be causing it, but think you should get it check out though.

You will need to have it plugged in to find the cause.

You need to get it checked with a MB Star diagnostic machine. Find a good MB specialist independant garage.

Thanks for the advice. I will take it in and let you know how i get on.

Hi forfoxsake , i seem to have a similar problem it only picks up speed very slowly sometimes and i have no kickdown when it happens. i only have kickdown now and again . No faults showing.I was on motorway middle lane and no xtra speed quite unnerving.

Hi dave. Sounds similar although i've not tried the kickdown, i'll have to give it a go. Let us know if you sort out the problem as i will when i do. OK.

Just thought I would let you all know that I had it hooked up to Star diagnostics and it didn't show any fault up, the guy checked all the settings and pressures as it ran, although it didn't fault out for him (typical) he did notice the Mass Air Flow Sensor wasn't responding as it should, so he suggested changing it. I changed the sensor in less than 10 minutes and Bingo, it's a different car. :thumb: Sorted!
