My C220d (W202 86000mls) has recently gone into limp home mode, with ocassionally the EDC waring light coming on. Mercedes have read the fault codes and diagnosed the fuel cut off valve Y23/2yl (Code 029)as being faulty and also also a switchover valve Y3/4, Y3/5 (Code 024 - ) Now, while the car is started in Park and revved it will go round to the red line. However, once you put the car in neutral, the revs are restricted to 3500 (limp home). Can anyone shed any light on what 1 the trouble codes mean and 2 why the restriction in neutral and not in park?
