After getting my C230K back on the road earlier this year a problem with the idling has developed.
Basically, when you start up, under normal ambient temperatures of 15degC, the engine initially idles at 1,000 - 1,200 . After a minute or so, this drops to 800 or so. When the engine is warm, in N or P, I get 700 .
Before it went into storage, I could swear blind that on startup I would get 700 straight away unless it really was freezing. he upshot is that the car is running rich on startup and I want to cure this.
I seem to remember there may be some sort of adjustment that can be made, or some sort of control box that needs to be tested/contacts checked/sensors checked.
Please could someone point me in the right direction so when I go into the garage, I know what I'm talking about.
