Following on from a thread where I expressed concern at my mileage figures, I am happy to report that the car seems to be behaving itself and after being taken on several long fast trips (to Wales), is now returning reasonable mileages...

mpl mpg
maximum 7.53 34.21
minimum 5.77 26.23
average 6.29 28.59

(mpl=miles per litre) , (mpg=miles per UK gallon=litres x 4.54609)

miles 4855.3
litres 771.91
cost 643.48

R2D2 suggested I also try super unleaded and compare, but I took one look at the price per litre (90p )...but now unleaded is down to 79.9p I might give it a go...must get the tank down to the last 5 litres first!

I have been monitoring my MPG over the last few weeks as I have been doing a lot of miles. I will get better MPG after my car has been serviced as it is now very much due a service! (oil is more like coal).

EDIT: the table came out like a pile of numbers

average mpg has been 27 exactly.

Your figures don't suprise me (based on your previous tips for negotiating roundabouts!)

But seriously, I will be doing some sort of comparison in the new year.

I'd go along with those figure in my C280. 28 on a trip and 24ish around town.
