Hi there,

I have a W204 C250 CDI Auto with a potential blocked DPF with EML on, as well as Limp Mode.

Initially had an Intake Air System Leak (P2462), as well as P2463 - Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction - Soot Accumulation..

Garage (non-Merc) fitted a new intake hose from the dealer, cleaned the DPF and reset fault codes, then advised I take it on a long motorway run with revs circa 2500-3000. I've done this several times with no effect (EML also back on and showing P2463).

Ever since, the car will not rev/accelerate above 3000 RPM, no power/kickdown/use of manual mode so assume it's in Limp Mode.

I've read it could be the DPF sensor/MAF etc. so was wondering if anyone could recommend a specialist in Leeds/West Yorkshire with Star to get a better idea?
Or is there anyone on here that has access to Star that can force a regen / or recommend the best route to take?
I believe iCarsoft MB V2.0 can also force a regen but not sure what allowance it has for soot levels before it does so.
There is of course the DPF removal route which I don't want to go down, but has anyone got any experience of doing so on this particular engine alongside a Stage 1 Re-map?

Thanks

Cleaned dpf then take it for a high rpm long drive , doesn't make sense , it's clean !

I'd do the dpf pressure sensor next as they're rife and have had several part revisions .

What concerns you about dpf removal ?

as above - change the sensor and use icarsoft to adapt it . otherwise it wont fix the issue.

Do they need a Star ecu software update too ?

Theres every chance these days .

Did the garage remove the DPF to clean it, can it be cleaned properly without removal?

Hi everyone new on here so here we go
Got 2009 250 c-class w204 same issue eml on code p2463
Changed pressure sensor , cleaned dpf had it cleared by local garage 5 minutes later eml back on and no revs above 3000
When car first starts revs fine for about 10 seconds then back to 3000 any advise or ideas would be great
All the best Allan

Bugger replaced sensor but didn't check pipes still throws code as soon as its started

Any values ?

The icarsoft reader is saying DPF soot is 200% full, what sort of figure is that
You need live data from the dpf pressure sensor . If this sensor fails it'll tell you dpf fill is 400 % because it can't work, same as when the 2 pipes are blocked. The dpf maybe perfectly fine.

New sensor fitted no change, clear the code and it throws a new one as soon as engine is started

Time to splash the cash ??

One trip to Merc specialist and if they fail to put it right, it's getting chopped in for a petrol model, I'm finished with diesel cars, too many problems
