We should also keep in mind that MB always had a smaller variant range in RHD then it did in LHD, and then an even smaller range of those specifically for the UK market.


I suppose that ultimately the RHD market, and within that the UK market, are relatively small volumes for MB, and thus not worth offering a wide configuration range in terms of both initial build costs and availability of spare parts.

Yes I'd imagine that that was the logic. I still can't quite get my head around it though. God knows what I'll get next :-(
