Can anyone tell me if the C250 engine is Direct or Indirect Injection?
Also, does anyone know what material the cylinderhead is made from - Cast Iron, or Aluminium?

I'm considering running one on vegetable oil.

These engines are indirect injection, the cyl head is ally & they are supposed to be very good for running on chip fat due to the fact they have an inline fuel pump. hope that helps

Ditto.

Also the pre combustion chamber has a hot spot to better evaporate any fuel droplets.

These engines will probably be ok to run on neat veg oil but you should really install a block heater to get the temperature upto 70c before starting to ensure no polymarisation of the oil.

The pre-chamber is similar to a whirl chamber design but with a baffle surface in the spray area to cause the fuel to further atomise and mix with the air better. This gives a more complete burn and more power with less smoke and lower emissions.
