Hi all, I am new to this forum, and I am wondering if anyone can help on this?
I am having a problem with a 15 plate C250.
It all started as a flat battery, done it twice in a couple of weeks, the aa who came out second time deemed the battery faulty.
I had halfords come out and replace it, it definitely is the correct battery, but since then it has been downhill rapidly!
Anyway as soon as he connected the new battery the fan came on an a very high speed and was very noisy, this was without the key in the ignition!
He hadn't a clue and left it with the battery disconnected, and told me to take it to a garage. I called a mobile guy out to look at it, he had no idea, so thought it maybe the new battery?
If you connect the battery, you can stop the fan by starting the car up, the car drives perfectly. I have taken it to a garage specialising in German cars, they cleared all the faults in its memory, this for the 2nd time and said it was ok. Two days later and the fan is coming on again, and now I have another problem, with a message about the anti theft device being activated. This cleared itself after an hour, but has come back on again this morning.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this before?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Mike
