Hi all,

I have a c250 and it seems to be after the engine has fully warmed up and I turn the car off the car doesn’t want to start back up. I put the key in the ignition, turn it and there’s nothing at all. No lights on the clocks, no radio nothing it doesn’t even try to turn over. Then after it’s been stood a few days it starts up fine. Also I’m not sure if it’s relevant or not but there seems to be to power from the turbo but you can still hear it spooling.

thanks in advance for any help!

When you put the key in can you hear the steering lock disconnect, on first start, and on hot start?
Some others here have experienced a similar problem, but usually can get dash lights showing.

Nope there’s literally nothing at all no lights or sounds

someone came round today but no codes came up
Strange than however still take to Merc Indy as star can diagnose systems that standard obd readers can't well worth £40 for their star and experience

Crankshaft Position Sensor failure can give similar symptoms.

^ The engine still turns over with a faulty CPS David.
I'd take a stab at a faulty EIS or loose battery connction as in Post #9 above.

I missed the lack of turning over! Mea culpa!

I blame the French, they made such a good wine I drank the whole bottle and our local Council who moved recycling pick up days to Monday ;)
