C250TD W202 Ratchet shifter

Ive got an auto c250td and i want to fit a ratchet shifter,
Anyone done this before? And can it be done?

Afraid I can't agree DM, I often use a ratchet when working on my car and think it is a very good idea ............. what other sorts are there?

Are we talking about a left handed, or right handed ratchet? I've got one here that works upside down...
