hi anybody got any ideas I have a w203 270 cdi but have no kick down when I put my foot to the floor many thaks

The 270 is a lively car. You should really get to a garage with Star and have the diagnostic log read.

It could just be low transmission fluid, but as some later models of these cars are fitted with a tamper proof plastic cap on the filler/dipstick tube and don't have a transmission fluid dipstick as standard, it's not possible to check the level yourself.

You don't say where you are, but the best option is to find a good local Mercedes Independent garage rather than a main dealer. Perhaps if you post up your location, someone can recommend an indie with a Merc STAR diagnostic machine for you.

But as already said STAR is the best option in case it's not the fluid level.

I don't know that area, so can't make any recommendations, but the following 2 have been recommended by Merc owners, either on here or on the other MB Club site. I think the 1st one is about 5 miles from you and the second about 20 miles.
Others who know the area may be along to advise of others or to confirm that these are good.
