C270 engine breather pipe

I have black oily gunge around the joint in the breather pipe from the top of the engine to the main air pipe to the front of the Turbo, visible in pic...is this anything to worry about?

i have a c270 cdi 2001 and mine has the same oily patch around the breather pipe joint.the car runs fine & dosnt consume more than 0.5L of oil every 5000miles.Engine has covered 87000

Thanks for replies....my car runs ok and does not consume oil, as far as I can tell in 6 months of ownership. So I will assume that the oily patch it normal.
