C270 Suspension

I have an 02 C270 with around 120K on the clock and have just noticed the o/s front suspension seems a little weak and occasionally bottom's-out on fast dips in the road. Is this a common complaint with this model ? Any idea what the cost would be to renew the front strut(s) if I carry out the job myself? Any help would be appreciated.

I would check the spring first for broken coils.
