C300 wouldn’t pull away

Morning all! Bit of a quick enquiry to mine the technical expertise of the forum. My C300 is only 7 months old, and this morning at the lights in traffic decided not to pull away. The gearbox displayed 2nd gear but the car wouldn’t rev and almost felt like it was in 9th. I crawled the couple of yards to the kerb with hazards on, stopped, put the car in Park, and back into drive all was ok again. Has anyone had this experience? Any ideas as to potential cause? I’m due to drive it to Lake Como this weekend so could do without an imminent failure.

Reminiscent of the electro-plate failing in the 'box and going into limp mode. Resets on cycling the IGN.
It only 7 months old and under warranty, so get it to MB or perhaps call out Mobilo and have the codes read. If it's definitely faulty you may (should?) get a courtesy car for your Como trip

Thanks for that. I didn’t think I turned ignition off and on again though, just put car in park and back to drive again. Would this have the same effect?
