i have noticed my c32 has devloped a fault . when doing 95-105 mph (obviously not on uk roads) my car makes a funny jerk and wont build any more speed wheen i put the pedel to the floor . this does not allways happen , it seems to be an intermediate fault.

i have only 500 miles ago had a service b with an atf oil and filter change aswell as new spark plugs and antifreeze flush . the car has showed no faults the garages computor .

could this be an intercooler pump of the intercooler itself ?.

i have a warranty on the car how do i prove that the parts are faulty ?

any suggestions ?

many thankyous :thumb:

Possible Air Mass sensor fault, don't always log a fault code mate :thumb:

thanks justin . how would i tell ?

It will feel flat and hold back intermittantly on acceleration, the only way to be 100% is to read off the actual values in the Engine control unit with a diagnostic machine with the engine running. The value will change when the engine speed changes ;)

thanks for that info ill get that checked out:thumb:

had it on a star today no faults and its not the air mass meter .
im still thinking intercooler pump .
anyone used the johnson cm30 pumps?

Sounds like an intercooler pump problem, but it should also happen at slower speeds.
I think it should also throw a code though.

I got CM30 on mine after the SC cut off a few times.
Had no issues since the pump was changed

there was no fault codes at all . i expecting to find somthing . would an ic pump defo fault defo throw a fault code then ?
it doesnt seem to happen at lower speeds .
i had my car re maped could it be something to do with that ?

The IC pump is most likely to be the cause and it is easy to find out with a Star and a decent fast paced road test.

The pumps are a doddle to change and an easy diy. Just take off the right front wheel and front arch liner and it is located in there.

Hi I have just bought a SL55 which ahs the intermittent lack of acceleration issue, no warning lights on display so having read the threads it could be the IC pump, I have also read on US forums that some are saying that a 'seperator kit' should be fitted at the upgraded IC pump puts out more pressure and this can cause welds to fail in the IC, does anyone know anything about this and where i can get such a 'seperator kit' from?

Thanks
