C32 AMG transmision problems

billy albert after you changed the selenoid from your gear box all was fine with your gear box ? i bought one rebuild gearbox but i have similar problems the car started after 300 miles again to jerk ... I am thinking maybe its the tcc selenoid .. Also I want to check the tcu maybe some tuning will cure this ( remove the driving adaptation ) .

It's nothing to do with adaptions , the c32 jerk problem is torque converter lock up clutch solenoid that is all , if you need part number let me know . Mine has been silky smooth since and that was over 7000 miles. I have now a different prob and car is off road , damn c32

Part was roughly 60 quid , so glad I spend over a grand on refurbed converter and new rad

Still can't drive it as is off road due to bust ecu wtf can't believe this car 33000 miles from new joke

Disable tcc lock up clutch and test drive
Remove and refit eha control unit
Replace tcc lock up clutch solenoid valve
Record fault codes and clear

Solenoid - 43. 40
ATF 2 bottles as I had just done 2 changes 8.93
Degreaser 3.18
Seals 6.00

Labour 325
Parts 70
Vat 80
Total 476

Also he recommended that they didn't reset adaptions ect just incase false positive. over 7000 miles later still no c32 jerk just smoothness and correct tcc operation

Thanks a lot billy. I will give it a try just with some tcu upgrade first. I have a friend that is very pro on tcu and ecu tuning he told me that he can try to remove those 80% adaptations of the gear box ... If doesnt work i will change the selenoid . What happen with your ecu ? If you want i can speak with my guy maybe he can help you because he also repairs ecu and tcu . He fixed my brother bmw e60 ecu with 30pounds and a new one was a fortune ..

It's called a "Pressure control valve" and is about £45 from Mercedes.

I'm a bit lucky mine is a 2004 facelift model.

I had one on an 02 reg ages which had similar issues, not very cheap fix if the gearbox goes.

If the gear box is 726-6 ( same on many many mercedes ) is possible . I have this model of gear box on my ML270 and also had some problems with the electric plate. limp mode .. stuck in second gear .


I dont have too much experience with the 7gtronic models

I m asking because I asked other owners of c32 with tcu tuned and no one had any problems with common faults of the gearbox like this well known jerks.. I don't know if its something related to it or not yet.. but I will go those days for a ecu and tcu tuning and I will see if I get any improvements .

Otherwise I will fallow billy advice and change the tcc solenoid
