Hello,
Well I have been looking at a few C32s over here, in fact quite rare.

Anyway, could anyone confirm to me is there an issue with the instrument cluster display regarding the display of gear position? On one car I observed there was only the 'W' or 'S' modes icon, and directly below only one icon for D, 1,2,3, and 4 gears. I do not see below the usual N, R, and P icons, like other cars I have seen.

Is this an earlier COMMAND version or instrument cluster? The car was registered 4/2002.

Where can I check on the car the build date?

I really like this car, low miles (85k km), local FMBSH, and one owner. But it has the dreaded engine warning light (air relay/pump) issue, slight vagueness in steering (suspension bushes?), and possibly the IC pump. I did not get the chance to test drive it long enough for acceleration.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks.

I think it depends on what you have selected to what shows. I can get any of the displays you have mentioned above by my choice of gear/mode selection.

Thanks for the reply.

On the LCD display in the top right corner and side there just 2 icons:
1. 'Winter' /'Sport' mode icon
2. P, R, N, D, 1, 2, 3, 4 mode icon

Whereas, what I have commonly seen is:

1. as above
2. P icon
3. R icon
4. N icon
5. D, 1, 2, 3, 4 mode icon

Would this difference be a COMMAND software update?

Mine has just the 2 icons you describe and not the 5 you have commonly seen. I don't have command so maybe that is the difference?

My c32 only has the two icons w/s and 1234D and I have comand so it seems that comand doesn't affect the cluster display, if you have seen other c32s with different displays then maybe it is a software update?

Cheers

Upper position W or S

Lower position 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or D or R or P

OK, I am now thinking that 2 of the 4 examples I have seen could possibly be a US or ROW spec cluster?

I say this after checking the pictures on the US forums.
