c32 engine change

can anyone tell me when the engine changed on the c32, I have a c32 amg on a 2001 plate with the black top cover with amg badges on both air filter boxes but have noticed that a 2002 is completely different, can someone shed some light for me, cheers all.

Can you show us a picture of what you have? Should have AMG on both the plenum chambers, but nothing on the air filter boxes. Early cars have no name plaque on the supercharger, later cars do.

Im not an expert, but that appears to be a c320 not c32. There doesn't appear to be a super charger on it.

It's certainly not an M112k C32 V6 engine that for sure!

Possibly C36 lump?? 6 cylinder normally aspirated?

yes, it has the amg on the rear and the v6 compressor on the front wings

Looks like it I'm afraid. They are great cars though, hope you didn't pay over the odds. I've got a C320 with AMG body kit and exhaust. Does your car have the bodykit & exhaust etc?

The engine on these is known as an M112, it's essentially the same unit as the C32 but without the supercharger.

If I recall correctly, power output is something like 214 to 218 hp, a C32 is more like 345hp.

Post up some more info about the sale some one might be able to help. But that engine looks nothing like my 32.

yeh has the body kit and the exhaust sounds great, bought it about 6 weeks ago from a guy called shane evans in barrow Cumbria, paid 2k with 90,000 on the clock
