Hi everyone

I currently own a C32 and just recently, fumes have started coming into the car through the air vents. Today i pulled away slowly from some traffic lights and a small plume of smoke entered the car via the air vents in the dashboard in front of me with a strong smell to them. Could anybody give me any clues to what it might be before i see a specialist?
I've checked under the bonnet immediately after but couldn't see or smell anything.

Many thanks, Matt

You probably have an engine oil leak. Check for fumes with the engine hot and running.

It did smell of a hot burning oil smell, i'll give it a good run tomorrow and see what i can find.

Regards, Matt

Look around the oil filler cap with the engine cover off.

Ok will do, thank you for your help its much appreciated. Is this quite a common fault with the C32's?

Not sure about visable smoke but my C32 at 75k started to get a burning smell through the air vents when stationary at 5 minutes into a journey.

In my car it turned out to be the cam cover gaskets leaking oil onto the manifold.

If it helps I also heard if you get a burning smell that not an oil but a hot metal stench it can be your supercharger has eaten it's bearing, this should be obvious though with a grinding sound.

Good luck!

Ok thanks for that Calgonis. How much did it cost to get the cam cover gaskets sorted? I'll have a listen for the supercharger bearing tomorrow. Thanks
