c32 new owner engine light has come on whilst i was briskly overtaking

c32 new owner engine light has come on whilst i was briskly overtaking, car seems to be running ok could it be the ic pump or the maf sensor i had put 99 ron fuel in , any ideas thanks

If it was the ic pump it would lose power as well. They dont very often bring on the eml.

Again with the maf they generally lose power

Best thing is get it hooked up to a star and get the fault codes read.

I agree with Andy , read the codes with a star . When i bought my c32 , a bad secondary air pump caused a EML .
It could be a misfire and many other reasons.

Yes secondary air injection pump

The purpose of the pump is to supply the cats with more air (oxygen) so that unburned hydrocarbons are eliminated prior to exhaust.

Could be the secondary air pump switch over valve, cheaper to try before spending out on a pump. That's if you can't get a Star machine connected to your motor

thanks im going to borrow an obd2 reader to view the fault code and reset engine light as said , the performance is unaffected
