C32 purchased Pics to follow on Friday

Hi All,
Well I finally bought the C32 from Stirling that I had been looking at.
Just got back this evening after driving down from Birmingham.
Car runs great.
The only issues are
1) NSF bumper scuffed (will look at a respray for that soon)
2) Valeo radiator fitted (But am clear according to blackc55)
3) Drivers heated seat does not work (Backrest is OK just the seat pad NF)

Other than that the car is great and am glad to be back in the AMG club.
A big thanks to BarryH for his invaluable help.

I love the C32. Congrats. Its so much more discrete than the M3/5. A proper Q car IMO, with some serious fire power.

Steve Sutcliffe ran one in Autocar a few years back when they 1st came out, and said it was a fantastic car.

Is there are warranty to cover the heated seat? The heating element is integrated with the leather seat cover, and it's a bit pricey!! Common fault though I'm afraid.

It is possible to fit a separate heating element pad - as fitted to the W210 IIRC - but do a search as some time ago I posted some links to a thread on it.

There is a warranty though pretty cr@p ( small payout ).
Do you have any idea how much a replacement integrated element is?
Might try my luck trying to claim on the warranty.

I think it's about £300 if memory serves. Or about half that with the separate pad.

Be warned though one member with an SLK32 has had eight on his now IIRC!!

Did you know it was defective when you shook hands on the deal - metaphorically speaking? If not then they ought to cough up really.

Yes. Though not the best of refurbs TBH.
Still am very chuffed with it and it will have a full detail on Wed-Thu so should come up a treat.
