Hi all
Anyone come across this before:
I have a C320 that has just covered 96k and today noticed an unusual ticking noise I first put down to a stone or nail in the front nearside tyre. After some very careful listening I believe it to be coming from gearbox/propshaft area partly because of where it sounds to be coming from and also as it seems to fast to match tyre rotation speed.
It is road speed dependent not engine speed and was first noticed after a spell of 'spirited' driving after being rather badly cut up. However after leaving the car parked for a couple of hours then returning home the noise has vanished.
I'm wandering if my ATF is past it, or should that be hoping...
