Hi folks,
New to MB ownership (and this forum), would appreciate some advice.

For the last 5 months I have owned a C350 CDI sport Estate AMG (S204 OM642??) 2013 265hp which i love.

Unfortunately this week it's started to suddenly drop in performance with a deeper exhaust note and sluggish throttle response (revs hold between 2000 to 3000) - what appears to be a limp home mode.

A friend has a Delphi OBD diagnostic kit which shows P2111 'Throttle actuator' and 15AD fault codes???

Anyone got experience of this???
Thanks in advance.....
Malcolm

It is better to scan the vehicle with a tool designed to read the MB coding. Often the typical generic readers only provide a general direction of the problem.
Taking it to a dealer will cost an hours worth of diagnostic time. You may find a local independent shop that can scan and diagnose the problem.

In the meantime it’s useful to know the miles and history of maintenance.

Update.....
Took the car to Bloor Motor Works in Horwich - a 'german specialist' garage who advised it had a blocked DPF so cleaned it and replaced the dpf sensor for £180. They also changed the air filters because they said were dirty/partly blocked for an extra £95 all plus VAT - Total £330.
After the test drive the mechanic rang me to say it was much better and the car did a dpf regeneration but after a short while engine power dropped and it seems to be holding gears.
Picked the car up and its no better than when i took it in, they suggest i take it back for 'further investigation'..

What do you think?

I’d take it back for “further investigations” as you have engaged a shop and report the scan codes here.
How many miles?

Are you still having problems? Standard garage doing there guessing game tactics while you foot the bill. DPF probem. Blah.

Does the car kangaroo at all? So from cold, floor it. What does it do? Does this make limp mode start up straight away?

Does your actuator move the VVT on the turbo, you'll see a little link arm at the back of the black box bolted to your turbo. When you turn the ignition on this will pull up.

Limp mode is usually a protection mode when over-boosting.

Hi. I might be wrong, but i think you need to check your throttle body. It might be sticking due to carbon build up or the motor that drive throttle is not working as it should. Most of them use plastic gears inside and they tend to break after time. I used to own audi a6 with 3.0 tdi and and same problem. When engine was running i could hear throttle actuator making noise,it was trying to find position and couldnt due to worn plastic gears.
Open bonnet and listen. Best if you do it after it goes into limp mode and engine running.

Update....the guys at MB Tech in Warrington sorted me.
Replaced the throttle body (with a 2nd hand unit as Merc parts are all closed).

Drives like my car again.........
