C350 Sport Edition First Impressions

So, the height reduction is permanent (when compared to a car without the Dynamic Handling Package), not when the Sport button is pressed.

I have never heard of a car with variable dampers also lowering ride height .. that tends to be for cars with more complicated air/hydraulic/etc suspensions.

Same as the BMW Adaptive Suspension, lowers slightly over standard setup (permanently) and the dampers adapt on the fly.

Very good.

Great car, as I said on your other thread :thumb: I thought it was the same colour as your other one, is that the case?

I've never fathomed the climate out so found a setting that worked for me and left it!

The interior will need a lot of cleaning but that is par for the cause of light coloured seats.

Nice exhaust sound as well :D

Thanks for your impressions of this great car. I doubt if I will ever be able to own one myself : the vicarious pleasure of reading your post is about as near as I am likely to get!

I'm sure R2 won't mind me responding to your question. It's not quite the same colour; his previous C350 was Obsidian Black, whilst this one is Magnetite Black - which is slightly more metallic and varies a bit in different light and different angles. Of course I'm biased and love it!

As for keeping the interior clean, the only problem I have with mine (which is an almost identical Alpaca Grey) is keeping the black AMG mats clean! In three years I've never done any more than a quick wipe over the seats with a damp cloth and an annual leather treatment. However, the imminent arrival of a mini KE may lead to a different story in the back!

Exhaust sounds great, gives the car some presence and lets you know there is some power under the hood.

Just out of interest, is the quad exhaust a standard fitment on the C350s or did you spec it on as an optional? Either way, looks and sounds lovely!

You could try reading the thread. The answer to your question is on the first page.

Thanks Marty. The exhaust was an aftermarket one made, I believe, by CKS and fitted to the car when new.

Sweet. I couldn't see anywhere that it was a OEM fitment or not, maybe just being blind...

I'm sure you will grow to love it, although I think you already do!!!

I like it mate nice review and looks decent, I had a c350 estate before my c63 and to be fair was a great car and had the quad exhaust (aftermarket) too and didn't sound as good as yours, could always hear it was a diesel :-(
A set of 19' AMG black C63 alloys on there would look amazing !!!!!

I had a choice of wheels when I bought it; 19in black AMG or brand new 18inch AMGs and tyres. I chose the 18-I'm getting old :)

Love the car mate! Love those seats but might be a bit of a pain to clean! Enjoy the car mate!

We're hoping that the mini KE due at the beginning of May is of the two legged variety (well seems that way from the scans) so we better not feed her anything from pet stores or Social Services may be paying a visit ;)

Congratulations!

Thank you :) Re the seats, the car has a slightly lemon smell when you get in. I'm wondereding if the seats have been treated or if the aircon can be lemon scented?

If I may ask, are they the dark brown wood inserts on the dash.

Just looking to change and it's the same colour combo as yours and i'm very tempted!

This was the best photo I could get to show that Black Ash isn't a plain black like piano black but a grained but very glossy black. HTH

Other Questions.
1. Why has my pan roof got a solar panel in it above the windscreen?
2. How should I clean the Pan roof; as glass or as bodywork?
3. Can my aircon be Lemon scented-it appears to be?
