C350e anyone considering one?

Mmm 350 litres.... only 15 more than the saloon! My superb has 625.
But with the parcel shelf removed and the rear seats down it's 1470. Skoda has 1760 (estate has 1950)

Colleague here just took delivery of his new Passat Estate GTE and it's got a huge load space compared to my c350e Estate, not that mine isn't a good shape for loading stuff, I got an entire bunk bed (disassembled) with 2 mattresses in there, had to have the boot open a bit.

But when just using the boot it's noticeably smaller than my Civic Hatchback (though Honda do seem to have Tardis technology with their load spaces.....477 litres on a the Civic hatchback)

You sure?, I took delivery last April and have never been on the 5%, was on 7% last year and now 9%.

Good point. Got the numbers mixed up with my previous choice.

It's great to see the Government encouraging environmentally friendly choices. I got a better deal on my 65mpg diesel than my "135mpg" hybrid...

Just wondering about buying a used one. The traditional view of Mercedes is that a bit of high mileage is "just nicely run-in" but does the same apply to the c350e, with its relatively small IC engine?

Thank you Mercedes.

Thank you Mercedes for your 3 week old car not starting on me at a hand jet car wash, leaving my 6 year old son and I stranded.

Thank you Mercedes for taking 2 hours to send a Mercedes roadside engineer and not taking my number down correctly to contact me, and for ignoring my many calls to you.

Thank you Mercedes for sending your Mercedes engineer with a diagnostic machine that did not work, and an engineer who has not had enough training courses to be able to investigate the problem. (his words)

Thank you Mercedes for taking another 2 hours to send a recovery truck to recover my car, leaving me stranded for even longer.

Thank you Mercedes Chester (Cheshire Oaks) for refusing to take my car in at 3pm today until Tuesday morning, meaning my car has to go into storage for three days.

Thank you Mercedes for dropping me off at a service station and then having to wait for another 2 hours to get a taxi to Manchester airport.

Thank you Mercedes and Europcar for refusing to deliver a courtesy car to either Chester Mercedes or where I was stranded as you were finishing at 4pm, despite the request being made at 1pm.

Thank you Mercedes for phoning me while I was in a taxi to Manchester airport with Europcar telling me that you should have not sent me to the airport as they may not have any cars.

Thank you Mercedes for eventually sorting me out with a Vauxhall Meriva! to drive to my family in Edinburgh tomorrow, a manual that after my back operation will have me in agony.

Thank you Mercedes for allowing me to get home at 8pm, after my car broke down before 11am.

Thank you Mercedes, for the abysmal customer service I have received all day, with none of your staff prepared to take any form of ownership.

Thank you Mercedes, you have ensured I shall never buy your brand again.

That's a pretty terrible experience. Unfortunately I have little faith that the Mercedes service network truly understand the hybrid models.

Mine is in for its first service today. Not a great experience so far: a fifteen minute wait to be seen despite having to book an exact arrival time. There were only three other customers in at the time. Very different to my local Audi dealer who check your number plate on the way into the car park, greet you by name and make sure you're seen by someone pretty much straight away, despite there being 20 other customers doing the same thing.

And I'm glad Zenith are paying: £300 for little more than a valet is a pretty hefty price. What car needs a 12-month service these days?

On the plus side, at least the Merc has made it to its first service without dying, unlike my Audi...

Verdict:
- 2mm of tyres used in 5k miles seems OK
- video of tyre, brake and suspension check was interesting
- 5 minutes waiting for reception to greet me, but no further wait after that
- the valet turns out to be a wash and a seat polish, so now I have squeaky seats but muddy sills #firstworldproblems

All a bit pointless really, when some cars hardly need touching for the first 20k miles...

Driver assistance package not available

Hi all,

Just got my C350e delivered which I ordered in march, but I had to reject it because of missing options.

Ordered spec was Estate, AMG Line, premium plus, selenite grey, upgraded LED headlamps, 360 cameras and driving assistance package.

The car that arrived had the last two options missing, which is why I rejected it.

The issue I'm having is that the current brochure, starting on June 01st, shows the driver assistance package as not being available specifically on the C350e AMG Line model.

I'm told by mercedes, that it will be back in the my18 brochure, but for some reason its not available on the my17.5 version.

I'm puzzled as to why a premium package would be excluded from the higher spec model but available on the base models.

I'm currently waiting for a response from mercedes, I ordered on the my17 brochure when the option was not excluded.

Disappointing...

This is even stranger as you can specify the driver assistance package on the C350e Sport !

I have just ordered a E350e and the dealer told me that driver assistance was being rationed, as is the wide cockpit - I hope I don't end up with a build date in 2018

What's so good about driver assistance?

I know the delay in mine was the wide cockpit and premium pack ... apparently the factory could meet the demand. Mine was delayed by about 3 months from the initial quoted delivery date

The only options not ticked in the E350e were tow bar and phone charging pad

When did you order and when was delivery. I added multi contour seats today so they will probably be a nightmare. I am waiting for a build / delivery date which they were confident would be in September - I have a px on that basis and if delivery goes out they will no doubt want to reduce it. The order says "non binding delivery 30th Sept". I had to wait 6 months for my C350e but it was still one of the first in the country !

Ordered in July/Aug 16 ... initial build date was Dec ... was delivered to dealers mid-March ... so Feb build date I believe

So worth the wait ... amazing piece of kit

I hope they have got it sorted now. Glad it's worth the wait - I was very impressed with the C350e

I like the C350e too but I have to say (I know this is the C350e thread) the E class is a big step up IMHO.

That's interesting. Other than size (and things that come with size), what's better about (I presume) E350e over C350e? And is an E350e estate on the way?

In traffic Driver Assistance is close autonomous driving. Massive step up from the C classes Driver asssitance

Remote Parking Pilot is awesome too. I park in a car spot in the car park that no one else can use as it too narrow to get out of car once parked - no more door dings from inconsiderate drivers

I'm confused - there's "driver assistance" and "in-traffic driver assistance"? Both in c-class?
If you don't order that, then you don't even get (what is known in my skoda as) Adaptive Cruise Control?
