c350e - charging when out and about?

My colleague plugged into Ecotricity charge point at Ikea Warrington last year sometime. When he came out of the store, the plug would not unlock so he could not disconnect the lead from the car. MB Assist were called and they were going to cut the cable, even though this would have made no difference as the plug would still have been locked into the car as it turned out. They ended up stripping the bumper off the car and then pulling some kind of manual release cable to actuate the solenoid valve manually. He was stuck there for hours....that's how he found out about the 3.7Kw charge limiter on the car

When I get the software update that gives me an external temperature gauge I'll let you know!

Up until now I'd only charged on the 13A lead and it was slowly creeping from 14 miles initially up to a maximum of 16 miles so far. I've just started using a Rolec 16A socket at work so time will tell whether that has an impact.

Mine is in today.. such a small thing but I wanted it!!! Have a C200 Bluetec loan car - it's so sloooooow in comparison

Hi

I’ve just purchased a used C350e, the car was supplied from a main Mercedes Benz dealer in Leeds. It came with a three pin charge cable which I’m using at home. Should it have been supplied with an additional cable so I can charge while out and about, or do I need to purchase a different cable??

Thank you for any advice.
