C350e owners club

I didn't even know there was an option!

One thing to consider: is the fuel tank vapour-sealed? If you don't use much fuel, there's not a lot of point filling to the top because you're just lugging it around with you. I have a short average trip distance, so I only do half a tank unless I know there's a long journey coming up. However, if the fuel tank isn't sealed, your fuel will degrade and I hear it can get to the point where the engine will misfire.

Conflicting info! Chris-S's PDF is quite old but states the 66 litre tank isnt an option, however it is definitely coming up on the options on my order. Perhaps this is part of the revisions for the 2017 version. I'm popping down to the dealer's tonight so will ask for clarification. Refueling is one of my bugbears - as a tight Yorkshireman, I hate it - so having an extra 16 litres of go juice between fills would be welcome as long as there is no massive downside to that. Thanks for the info about the vapour-sealed tank, Dodgy. Will ask about that too.

Roughly how much do they cost to charge at home btw?
Its a company car purchase but a small company so dont want to be an **** and charge them, I was more than happy to 'Choose what i want'

I nearly made the costly mistake of adding 18 inch wheels on my sport premium which I think made £62 in extra tax cost per month to me !! dealer didnt point this out and he did know why i was going for a hybrid. I actually spotted in the small print in the e brochure

Good spot. I was going to go for the 18" black alloys and luckily ran a check on Comcar to work out the BIK. Soon took them out of the order I'm looking to submit soon and going with the standard ones, which I like anyway.

Electric charge cost?

Generally accepted to be about 40p a full charge.

I also needed a stock vehicle so the original car was silver with 18's, only other car i found had the standard wheels but had Premium pack in Cellulite grey so i ended up winning in the end :)

From empty (10% charge) to full (100% charge - surprise!) is 5.6kW. That costs me 31p at night or 70p during the day (which I don't I much, because I've applied to be an honorary Yorkshireman).

Just had solar PV and a Tesla Powerwall 2 installed so my charges are now "free" (ignoring the significant up-front cost of the installation of course.......)

Been down to the dealers and had a chat with them. There is no 66 litre tank option on the C350e.

Quite why it is appearing on the options on the portal I have to order through for work, I have no idea.

Apologies for confusing everyone (including myself)

Oh good, looks like they might have broken the last trip mpg on the android app so it caps at 99.9MPG.

So now you can't see the MPG when it's 99.9 in the car, the web app or the android app. Really annoys me that it's been like this for a year but at least there was one place now there's none again!

iOS app is still OK. There's been no update since April, so I'm looking forward to the latest downgrade any time now..

Had my C350e for 15 months now. Range after charging seems to be pretty much stuck at 14 miles, whereas this time last year was regularly showing 16 miles. I don't think the battery has deteriorated though, just think the cars computer algorithm, knows the usage of the vehicle and is predicting a more realistic range. Getting 59 mpg, with 33 mile commutes, charging at both ends of journey, with the odd long trip here and there. Would probably be 80 mpg + if journey length maxed out at 33 miles between charges.

Mine is usually at 12, I'm grateful to see 14 and I'm not someone who does lots of long journeys, I usually average around 66% electric, 34% ICE.

I now don't seem to be able to login to the android app,, just errors.

Cd player

Does the 350e have a single cd player or a 20 cd player?

I got mine delivered today and have all my driving cars ready

Only a single disc. COMAND had a 10Gb 'music register' you can load up from whichever source takes your fancy, don't know about Audio 20 though I'm afraid.

I have a 128GB flash drive plugged into one of the USB ports of my Audio 20 system. The interface isn't amazing, but it works. Not quite the quality of CD recordings, but a lot more convenient. I haven't checked whether the system can handle high definition recordings. I doubt it.

Oops, looks like I may need to get something else fixed while they do the windscreen....
Mine has also snapped, please let me know how much you have been quoted as apparently it requires a whole new rear bumper to supply and fit as it is all one unit.

Any Golfers out there?? I have a C350e estate on order. I was wondering how you get on with golf clubs in the boot. I have a C220D Saloon currently and can easily fit 2 sets in across the boot opening without having to remove any woods. I tried my clubs in a saloon C350E I test drove prior to ordering and it was nowhere near as good as my current car. Hence the reason I have ordered the estate. The pics I have seen online looks as though the C350e estate boot has the obvious risen floor but also is a little narrower than the boot in the other C Class estates. Panicing a bit now.......

Any input or pics of your clubs in the boot would set my mind at ease.

Thanks in advance.

Joe
