C350e owners club

ME works flawlessly and Merc updates at service gave me the outside temp.
Didn't ask for it and not something i have ever used and can't see that I ever will.
Wind down the window, it tells you if it's cold outside........

It’s a shame to hear these problem stories. I’ve had no issue with the app for a long time (apart from it being ridiculously slow to load). I love the pre-conditioning at this time of the year and the only messages I’ve received have been offers to lock the car remotely if it seems like it’s been left unlocked and unattended. It would be very strange to go back to an unconnected car after this experience.

No problems with Mercedes Me here. I run it from the web on an iPhone. I’ve heard the Android App can be very buggy.

I have found the Mercedes Me app pretty reliable of late, I use the web app on android. My reduced battery capacity and it being winter means I cannot confirm if it can display above 99.9mpg on either app currently!

I've just updated the Mercedes Me app on my Android phone and it's changed to kilometres from miles for the measurements.

I've hunted for a way to change back to imperial and can't find any clues. Can anyone help????

According to M-B, once you've upgraded you are stuck until the next upgrade. Works OK on the iPhone though....

Safari website on my iPhone and iOS app are both limited to 99.9mpg at the moment. At least it’s same as the in-car display...

Not sure if this is C350E specific or not, but I've just been advised that my car will be getting the "SM4809 – Fuel System control unit – software update 0.3" applied to it when it goes in for service next week. It was described as a Recall. Anyone have any specifics on it by any chance?? Just curious. I'll ask on the day of course, but don't expect anything other than to be patronised.

Yep mine has just been serviced and this was updated. No idea what it does, but haven’t noticed anything improve.
I asked why with a full charge the ICE still came on twice last week first thing in the morning. They had no idea even after investigating.
The ME app has also been unpredictable. Several times the pre heat didn’t come on when plugged in. Does it work when not plugged in, as I have tried this to without success.

Pre-conditioning works when not plugged in, but it can take a decent chunk of the battery in cold conditions (or hot, I suppose).

Was it very cold and had you entered a destination into the Sat Nav - I think that if you have the heating full blast, rear screen and heated seats on then it preserves the charge for future use

Thanks for that. I’ll see if I can find anything out about next week. Ours too started the ICE on a full charge the other morning when it was cold. I’d love to see a flowchart of the logic it uses but I suspect it would be very complicated with dozens of conditionals in it.

Does anyone know the release date of the 2018 updated c class? I’ve just seen on you tube the updated car (wider display screen, digital dash, redesigned scratchpad) and was wondering whether anyone had any idea’s. My 350e is due end of March and was thinking whether it would have the revised 2018 interior! Thanks

Two of my colleagues have GLCs and they both have outside temp displayed like above AMG GTR (where the KPH is on our 350e).
One is a 66 plate, other is a 67 plate.

Is it just the C350e that has this annoyance?

And the C300h. Must be something to do with the hybrid display.

First experience of snow today - I couldn't even get down the drive from the house :-( When I can next get to a town I'll need to buy some snow chains.
Is there a winter mode to force the car into a higher gear?

I hope you weren’t using sport+! [emoji23]

Our drive has a 20% slope on it. No trouble getting off this morning and the roads were clear once we’d left our close.

I’ve not seen much info about traction control or manual gear control, but I think you can use the paddles to select a high gear as long as you don’t mind the ICE coming on...
