Car
a very average c350e
So my c350e continues its history of giving me expensive problems - (really wish I'd bought a kia or something with a longer warranty!!!).

This morning, travelled 15 miles mostly on electric, no problem. Charged the car then two hours later went out again. Strange things started happening-
the battery was fully charged but it would only operate in petrol mode. At the same time the automatic headlights came on even though it was midday and bright sunshine.

After a 2 mile drive I re started the car. At least the headlights turned off but the hybrid still refused to kick in, and then the orange ECU warning light came on. Started it again and this time the battery power did come on, but still the orange ECU light is still on.

Having already spent £1000 this year on a failed pump for the air suspension, I am really not feeling the love for this car at the moment. Does anyone have any idea what my new problem might be please?

Thanks

It all depends on what the cause of the engine light is. Could be lots and lots of things. I am suprised the air suspension pump was £1000!

Get it on a Star and this will aid diagnosis.

it was actually over £1000 but i rounded it down for this posting.
